Clean plant food, fruits and herbs (i.e. biblical for grains, vegetables, legumes, and nuts) all - if uncontaminated in handling:  < 10 pathogens per gram.

Animal foods for acceptable sale
 (per US/Utah Dept of Agriculture
Milk (cow's) begins at 20,000 per gram
Butter, Cheese, Ice Cream: 300000 to 1 million per gram
Eggs:  avg. 50,000 to 500,000 per gram.
Flesh:  Most flesh foods such as beef, poultry, lamb, pork and  seafood all fall within a 300,000 to l million per gram range.
Honey:  botulism 150,000 per gram

To give you an idea of how many pathogens average servings contain:
One 4 ounce serving of fruit:  less than 100 ever detected (most times:  no viable organisms found)
One glass milk (pasteurized : 5 million)
Four ounces of  ice cream:  112 million! (pathogens begin to thaw, come alive, and multiply once in the warm confines of the intestines.)
Butter:  7 million per patty
Four ounce serving of cheese: 100 million
An average serving of meat, fish, poultry:  336 million
Notice the terrible pathogen load against which we force our immune systems to protect us just to have a little milk, egg, fish, and flesh!  Pathogens are bacteria, viruses, parasites and antigens--also there is the exotoxins--waste from all these.  No wonder our immune systems are breaking down -- with the millions of pathogens we ingest every day.

Disease! Where Does It Come From?

How do most of the homosapien animal's, i.e, man's diseases breed, flourish, maintain, and then enterl to infect, debilitate and destroy him?  It is primarily as he husbands, butchers, handles, prepares, then eats and ingests the flesh, ova and fluids of the other (dirtier) animals.

Beef/Milk: Asthma, Cholesterol, E.Coli, Heart Disease, Hepatitis, Hormones, Gonorrhea, Leukemia, Lupus, Pertussis, Pneumonia, Polio, Strep, Tetanus, Tuberculosis, Cancer, Bovine Aids, Mad Cow Disease (variants are Crutzfeld Jacobs, Alzheimer's), Schizophrenia, Attention Deficit Disorder
Gelatin:  Glycine, Hormones, neurological disruption, hyperactivity
Mono-Sodium Glutamate or Natural Flavor:  Headaches, same as beef.
Chicken:  Asthma, Cholesterol, CMV, Epstein Bar, Hepatitis, Herpes Simplex, Hormones, Influenza, Measles, Complex including Chicken Pox, Smallpox, Hanta Virus, Salmonella, Tetanus, Cancer
Eggs:   Asthma, Asparatine, Cholesterol, Herpes Simplex, Hormones, Glutamine, Glycine, Measles Complex, Shingles, Cancer
Pork:   Asthma, Cholesterol, E.Coli, Salmonella, Swine Flu, Trichinosis, Cancer
Mutton:  Asthma, Gonorrhea, Hormones, Syphilis, Cancer, Crutzfeld Jacobs
Fish:  Asthma, Cholesterol, Heavy Metals, Hormones, Insecticides, Omega-3 arterial corrosion, Honey:   Allergens, Anti-Histamines, Asthma, Botulism, (Cancer, liver damage)
All of the above including algae and seaweeds any disease of animals, neurological disorders and Cancer

Non animal, but important disease contributor today:
Hydrogenated Oil, Margarine:  as un-natural fats; Neuro-Muscular Dysfunction, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Cancer

From the preceding data, it is hard to understand why we continue to eat the products of the slaughterhouse, henhouse and milk-parlor.  The major problem (aside from the suffering caused to the creatures) is that our immune systems are breaking down under the heavy animal sourced pathogen loads we are adding.
